Effective August 29, 2025, the U.S. government has eliminated the global de minimis exemption, meaning that all imported goods valued under USD 800 are now subject to duty. As a result, postal services—including Chunghwa Post, various international postal networks, and DHL—have announced a suspension of shipments to the United States until the new regulations become clear.
